ben kaya is an american, brussels based composer, producer and performer. his work primarily is concerned with simplicity, limitation and repetition, using long durations, repetitive motifs and a focus on texture in sound and visuals to bring a natural life to his vision. 

his compositions often include the use of alternative tuning systems, electronics in combination with acoustic instrumentation, programming and acoustic phenomenon.

among sound he also works with light, projection and physical materials in installation works that carry a similar ethos to his sound practice.

  ben achieved a bachelors in art from california institute of the arts in 2025 and is currently pursuing a masters in art from koninklijk conservatorium brussel.
